Our Mission
"Am I tall for my age and gender?" and "How tall will my child be?" are two of the most common height questions people search for — and most tools online answer them with vague generalisations instead of real numbers.
HeightCalculator.in exists to give you an actual statistical answer: a percentile ranking based on population data, and a mid-parental height prediction backed by a well-established clinical method — both explained clearly, with the math shown.
Our Methodology
Every calculation on this site uses transparent, published methods:
- Height Percentile — a z-score calculation against approximate adult height mean and standard deviation figures by gender and region, based on published population health studies
- Child Height Predictor — the mid-parental height method, a long-established formula used in paediatric growth assessment
You can see the full breakdown, including the exact formulas and a worked example, on our How We Calculate Your Result section.
Editorial Standards
Our content is written to be genuinely useful, not padded for search engines. We:
- Base claims on published growth and population health research
- Clearly label estimates as estimates — no false precision
- Separate general guidance from medical advice specific to your situation
Important: we are an informational resource, not a medical provider. Read our full Disclaimer before making health decisions based on any calculator result.
What We're Building Next
We're working on a dedicated child growth chart tracker and a more detailed regional height comparison tool, continuing the same standard: transparent math, no dark patterns, free forever.
